Oct18 2010. From Taipei to Vancouver
It’s a long day today, after many times of sleep and wake up, sleep and wake up, sleep and wake up… I finally arrived Vancouver - the city I’ve been thinking about in the past few months. Pop on the Canada line and change to Expo line at Waterfront, a 10mins walk after getting off the skytrain at Science World, now I m here the C & N backpackers hostel.
The hostel just like those people stayed here, very international, very interesting personality, they even have a 台灣銀行月曆 on their wall. The stuff is very nice, and my roommates girls from Australia and Germany are all very friendly and talk to me a lot. But don’t know why I m still feeling empty after checking in, what’s next? What I m going to do here? I do not have any idea, so maybe I will be home very soon… hopefully not…
Today at Canada custom, the girl who interview me said that I m the first Taiwanese working holiday visa holder she’d ever seem, and wish me good luck. I really need good luck for now, thank her a lot.
Everyone told me that the area I stayed is not very safe, it’s better not go out at night, so I have only noodles that I brought from Taiwan for the dinner tonight. Tomorrow I will go around downtown to see if there’s any change since my last visit at April. Try to get a SIM card for my phone, and maybe seeking for jobs.
Tomorrow will be a good day, and I will take pictures for you all. Love you…
